What does Locanda Verde mean?
A locanda is a local spot to eat and drink and stay over if you want. Verde means green and sounded good next to locanda.

What kind of food do you serve?
Italian influenced tavern cooking

Do they have any cookbooks?
Yes, Andrew wrote Urban Italian in 2008 and Karen has the Craft of Baking in 2009.

Where did they cook before?
Lespinasse, Gramercy Tavern, Café Boulud and Craft

Who operates and owns the restaurant?
Andrew Carmellini, Josh Pickard, Luke Ostrom and Ken Friedman with our partners at the Greenwich Hotel Ira Drukier, Richard Born and Robert De Niro.

Who designed the restaurant?
Ken Friedman with Meyer Davis Studio

Is there a dress code?
A shirt and maybe something on your bottom

Is there Corkage fee?
We have a 100 bottle all Italian list put together by Josh Nadel that is all under $150. We also have a small reserved list. We ask that you choose from one of our wines but if you wanted to bring something we would charge you $35 for corkage.

Are reservations accepted?
Yes. We also leave tables for walk-ins. Please stop by or give us a call to see if we can accommodate you.

Do you have space for private parties?
Yes, we have an amazing back room that can accommodate 60 people sitting and 100 standing.
